The company is setting up a bioethanol plant with a total capacity of 240 kilo liters per day (KLPD) and an annual capacity of 7.92 crore liters per year. The project will be set up in two phases of 120 KLPD. The raw material used will be maize that will be grown locally in the command area of the project. The company will mobilize farmers in the area who own fallow lands, provide them with expertise, funding and guaranteed buy back of the corn while introducing the latest technologies in hydroponics, seed technology and soil conservation in order to maximize yield. The goal is to increase farm income for the marginal farmer who is unable to cultivate because of financial and technical reasons. Company hopes to uplift about a thousand rural families as about 38,000 acres of land is targeted to be brought under this plan.
