Paytm, operated by One97 Communications Limited, is an Indian digital-payments and financial-services company offering a mobile wallet, UPI, bill payments, QR-code merchant payments plus lending, insurance and wealth distribution. The parent One97 was incorporated in 2000 and the Paytm brand launched around 2009-2010; the company listed on the NSE and BSE in November 2021 in what was then India's largest IPO. It remains India's most prominent listed fintech, though its share price declined significantly after listing.
