Samatva’s digital platform Paanwaale aggregates paan shops across India. The Paanwaale mobile app allows users to search, rate and review paan shops; thereby organising the unorganised paan shop eco-system of India. The accounting at paan shops is highly non-reliable. Most transactions are in cash, which does not get registered anywhere. Paan shops are all relying on the cash economy and we plan to digitise them under the Digital India banner to make them more organised. Our platform fills the gap of bringing buyers and sellers together on digital platform enhancing value for both of them in bookkeeping, authorisation, credit history, statement of each client at a single click, providing feedback, and digital presence. The Paanwaale mobile app facilitates over the counter digital transactions using Unified Payments Interface (UPI). Paanwaale allows users to pay using any UPI app such as Bhim, PhonePe, Paytm, Google Pay, etc. Only digital payments directly through bank accounts are accepted in the app, hence eliminating cash or wallets.
