The present technology is to utilise yeast cultures isolated from the coffee pulp effluent as a consortium under field conditions for the management of coffee pulp effluent. This was mainly with a view of utilising a native organism. They were mainly assessed for their potential to bring an increase in pH and reduce the Chemical Oxygen demand, odour, colour and other physico-chemical factors responsible for the toxic/undesirable nature of the coffee pulp effluent.
