Nutriplus Foods is registered during 2016 as a private social enterprise by Dr B.R.Athani, an agribusiness professional. Primary aim is to enable linkages between producers and consumers for farm produces grown by small and marginal farmers. The company operates by paying better prices to producers, apart from production supports so that cost of production at farmers is reduced and they will be able to get better value for the produces.. The company has set up food processing facilities and aggregates organically grown raw materials from farmers and FPOs. There are 87 different ethnic and organically processed food products that are oriented towards health benefits for the consumers.. The products are sold under the brand name "Simply Satwik" in retail stores. in select cities across Karnataka. Now planning for scaling up in other states. Present sales are around Rs 3 Lakh a month. The establishment is funded by own resources. Mobilizing resources for scaling up is a major constraint for the promoters. and looking for supports under Start Up India program.
