The exhaustive communication from Buyer to Broker, Broker to Middlemen and Middlemen to farmer happens over phone calls and lacks transparency and credibility, leading to farmer’s exploitation. Agri trade has lot of information barriers which restricts the farmer from direct trade, including exhaustive buyers, credit rating of buyer, volatile prices, packaging, quality conditions, payment discounts, financiers, brokers, etc. Also, the fact that a farmer transacts a limited times per year, stops him from connecting with buyers.
