Khedut Samriddhi (Pvt. Ltd.) is an agri-startup which seeks to provide an organic alternative to chemical fertilizers to farmers and urban gardening and farming enthusiasts. "Khedut" is the Gujarati word for farmer. Our enterprise seeks to enable the production and sale of vermicompost. Our startup will start operations in Tapi, Gujarat a district that is majorly agrarian and tribal. The idea for this startup arose when it was seen that there was a huge demand for organic fertilizer, especially vermicompost, but there is a perpetual shortage of supply. With a rise in demand for organic products, demand for organic fertilizer is only going to rise, we realized. We decided to come up with a business model to enable the production of organic fertilizers and pesticides.
