Jamura Robotics is a Bangalore based startup in the EduTech space that focuses on building cutting edge technology products for the Education sector powered by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The company was founded in 2019 by Entrepreneurs Ankur Misra (CTO, PES grad) and Saumya Shanker (CEO, IIT/Kanpur, ex-Wipro) and is mentored by Himesh Misra (IIT/Kanpur, ex-IBM). Jamura Robotics started as an idea to build smart systems of pedagogy for personal learning as well as for schools and colleges/ universities through Humanoid Robot teaching assistants and smart classrooms. The company has subsequently also branched out into enabling skills training using similar technologies. The company is focused on solving the following critical issues in India’s education system - Lack of upgraded course content; lack of adequate number of teachers in schools and low teacher-student ratio; lack of individual focused teaching / training.
