Infosys Limited was founded in 1981 (as Infosys Consultants Pvt Ltd, in Pune) by seven engineers led by N. R. Narayana Murthy with about $250 of capital, later moving its base to Bengaluru. It is the second-largest Indian IT services company and provides IT, consulting and outsourcing services worldwide. It is listed on BSE, NSE and NYSE.
