The growing concerns towards green nanotechnologies necessitate the development of new and eco-friendly methodologies and products, in particular relating to healthcare & life sciences sector. Addressing some key problems (like hygiene, protective clothing etc.,) of the stated sector and eyeing on innovative, safe and potent solutions, our group started to refine and apply our research experience towards commercialization. In the course of time, we have developed the concept by name green synthesis of various nanomaterials which pose multifunctional applications in particular. The problems our green technology-based innovations/products can resolve are 1) dandruff and hair care problems, 2) Dependency on imports for protective clothing and 3) Size and shape control of various Nanomaterials. The market opportunity for our innovations such as (1)- hair care products and (2)- natural fiber transforming formulation is promising. For instance, (1) Hair care products have 30 % share in overall among all cosmetic products and (2) The Indian textile market is expected to grow to US$ 31 billion by 2020.
