Fruits and vegetables are among the most perishable agricultural produce. Post harvest losses can result in several thousand crore losses in India. The losses primarily occurs due to lack of proper facilities for storage and transportation. It was estimated that approximately around 52% loss occurs even before the produce reaches the consumer. Our start up has developed device is called shelf life enhancer’, this device has potential to reduce post harvest losses in storage, transportation, and distribution chains in the country thus can greatly help in increasing framers income and quality of fruits and vegetable, and ultimately adding nutritional value to food.
