D Flo Aqua Remedies and Company Ltd. proposed approach for the defluoridation is based in the development of NPs-PUF technology. We are proposing cost-effective, portable, environmental and user-friendly defluoridation technique for rural as well as urban communities. Green and cost-effective strategy will be utilized for NPs synthesis using plant waste material followed by coating on polyurethane foam (PUF). Foam coating with metal nanoparticles will be done by dip adsorption method. The proposed work will provides an affordable technology towards addressing the public health and environmental concerns, especially at the resource-limited rural and urban areas to mitigate health risks associated with ground water F contaminations. The developed one NPs-PUF sponge is proved sufficient for the defluoridation of 5 liters water, which will fulfill the one day water consumption requirement of an individual.
