India's manufacturing sector makes up a significant portion of the country's industry sector GDP. Up until recently, large manufacturing giants have also been considering setting up their operations in India due to rising manufacturing wages in China and a few other geopolitical concerns. Apart from these giants, there are in total of 70 million (by 2022) MSMEs in India that produce almost everything we use daily. Although these figures are excellent compared to other countries, India lags far behind its international rivals in terms of productivity, efficiency, and technology. The major issues are inadequate technology or a lack of technological advancement, which results in low industrial productivity and efficiency.
