CisGEN Biotech Discoveries Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated during March 2017 through the research outcomes of BIRAC BIG grant. CisGEN is now incubated at IITM Research Park, Chennai. CisGEN is actively involved in the research and development of veterinary health products. CisGEN had so far filed two patents through the in-house research activities. CisGEN R&D activities includes development of novel bio-therapeutic molecules against the infectious diseases of pets and livestock, development of pen-side diagnostic kits and antibody assay kits for the infectious diseases of pets and livestock. CisGEN is also offering diagnostic services for livestock and pet diseases through its in-house developed/optimised test method. CisGEN obtained various grants from BIRAC, DBT for development, validation and Upscaling of animal health care products. CisGEN is consultant with Pennsylvania State Universty-USA for animal tuberculosis control program in India through fundings from Bill and Milenda gates foundation and department of biotechnology, Government of India
