Distributed procedures and File system updates depend on coordinated times to ensure that proper sequence are followed. Air traffic control system need coordinated times, since flight path require very precise timing etc. Current solutions are all imported NTP time servers. These Time servers take time from GPS (Owned by US Navy) or GLNOSS (Russia) Imported NTP Servers not compatible with Indian Standard Time (Provided by CSIR-NPL, to be the legal time of India). These Servers are extremely expensive (Rs. 6-10 Lakh each for base model). Current Servers repair lead time (about three months) is a problem. Solution: IST Sync Server with direct traceability to IST (from CSIR-NPL and IRNSS Optionally) will be the solution. On-time and On-Site service option will be advantage over existing servers.
