The key issue is the large import of Fossil Fuels/ Crude Oil by the country and the huge drain on our foreign reserves. Thus the thrust to the producing of bio fuels to reduce this dependence by the Government. Ethanol is a natural additive to Petrol and helps in reducing the requirements of petrol and also plays the part of reducing emissions as compared to other additives added normally to unblended petrol. This whole program would go a long way in improving our country’s self sufficiency of our energy requirements. Thus this project with its variety of product mix would help in a multi facet way towards a) Admixture to Petrol through OMCs and reduction in the import of fossil fuels b) Production of by products for the Cattle Feed Industry
