The company proposes to manufacture innovative syringes for the purpose of making parenteral drug delivery safe. The conventional syringe consists of a single channel which contains the medicament of a certain viscosity which makes it difficult to perform aspiration due to increased force required to create vacuum by pulling the viscous medicament in a large channel. The high pressure vacuum created collapses small blood vessels leading to a false negative result. This also causes severe pain to the patient and unstable movement of the device. Traditionally, the syringe was always designed to perform injection and the design was only focused on this aspect. Aspiration prevents the accidental injection of the medicament/vaccine in the blood vessels which can be dangerous and sometimes fatal. The device proposed focuses on overcoming the described problems seen with existing devices.
