There are many weavers in and around Aruppukottai town of Virudhunagar district in Tamil Nadu. In order to promote the products of weavers, Aruppukottai Vastra Weavers Producer Company Limited has been formed with the support of NABARD and facilitated by WOMAN NGO. The objective of the company is to support the livelihood of weavers by ensuring timely supply of raw materials, marketing of the products directly from weavers and making weaving a profitable business. The Company is wholly owned by the weavers community!
