The alarming rates of rising pollution in the National Capital Territory of Delhi has become a matter of concern for the health and well being of the general populace of the region. This has put both the State and Central Government to find a solution for the same. The development of Delhi Metro has greatly catered to the reduction of carbon emissions and has also helped with the reduction of traffic congestion with vehicular pollution being a constant source of air pollution in the NCT of Delhi and contributing upto 30% of particulate pollution a need for rapid adoption of zero emissions of electric vehicles is inevitable. It is also evident that however the Delhi metro has increased its network across the city but still a suitable means for last mile connect to the destination which has zero carbon emissions has not found its solutions.
