The project is about growing leafy vegetables in specially designed paper containers holding a novel soil-less medium with enhanced moisture holding capacity and better aeration. Harvesting of the leafy vegetables grown in such container, does not involve any damage to the roots and are shipped to the consumer in the paper container in which it was grown. Since the roots are not damaged, the plants can be kept fresh up-to 10-days after harvest and can be easily shipped to long distances without any wilting symptoms. Production will be carried out in green house and on soil less medium. Hence the produce would be free of pesticides and soil - ORGANIC
