Afin has been created to serve as a common virtual platform for health care industry of Kolkata including patient. Though we have seen a fair amount of investment has been made for creating traditional infrastructure very less has been invested towards building IT infrastructure by the stake holders. It is hard to find a wholesome picture of Health Industry in Kolkata in Internet or anywhere, though it has a very large and highly populated catchment area spreading over 7 eastern and north-eastern states and neighbouring countries on eastern sides of India. The Kolkata though have many well-known small nursing homes and hospitals but they have very less or zero digital presence. Southern States like Kerala and Tamilnadu has done particularly great in this front which actually reflected in growth of medical tourism in these states. These states have successfully attracted many patient from catchment area of Kolkata Health Care industry in last decades. It has been evident that whole some presence in internet and robust delivery channel play a major role towards medical tourism (national and international). Which will certainly work as a major propellant in the growth of Health Car
