The problem that we have chosen to work on at this point in time is Automatic Number Plate Recognition(ANPR) and the use cases around it. What is ANPR? Automatic number-plate recognition is a technology that uses optical character recognition on images to read vehicle registration plates. Such a technology wherein cameras can look at a vehicle and are able to identify it and also gather meta information such as it’s model, make and pricing would open up new possibilities in solving some interesting problems such as, 1) Automatic Vehicle Movement detection and identification at entry and exit in secured organisations.
