There are currently over 7.3 billion people in the world, with an expected population of over 8.5 billion by 2030 and 9.7 in 2050. That’s a lot of people to feed! How will we be able to provide safe, nutritious food to all these people? High labour payment and over spraying of pesticides is hazardous for farmers and the consumers. Robotic farming can help to reduce such problems and provide a very precise and efficient way of farming which will help to provide good quality crop with no excessive chemicals which causes harm to human health. The good news is that farms are already open to new technologies being deployed and the investments that are required. I just need to look at some of their equipment to see the high-tech machinery in place. A little known fact: farms are already amongst the most prominent adopters of robotic technology.
