MapMyIndia Reports ₹140 Crore Revenue and ₹50.4 Crore Profit in Q1 FY27 Despite Flat Earnings

Digital mapping and geospatial technology company MapMyIndia, operated by its parent C.E. Info Systems Ltd., reported a steady financial performance for the first quarter of FY27. The company recorded a 15% year-on-year increase in revenue from operations, while net profit remained almost unchanged at ₹50.4 crore.

The quarterly results reflect continued demand for MapMyIndia’s digital mapping and location intelligence solutions across the automotive, enterprise, and government sectors. Strong growth in hardware device sales also supported the company’s overall revenue during the quarter.

What Happened?

According to the company’s consolidated financial results filed with the National Stock Exchange (NSE), revenue from operations increased to ₹139.7 crore in Q1 FY27, compared with ₹121.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, representing a 15% year-on-year growth.

Despite higher revenue, net profit remained largely flat at ₹50.4 crore, indicating that increased operating expenses offset part of the revenue growth.

Including non-operating income, total income reached ₹159.4 crore during the quarter. However, this represented a marginal 2% sequential decline from ₹162.8 crore reported in Q4 FY26.

Key Details

MapMyIndia continues to generate most of its revenue from its map data and geospatial services business. Income from mapping services, software subscriptions, licensing, royalties, and project execution stood at ₹114 crore, remaining broadly stable compared to the previous year.

The standout performer during the quarter was the company’s hardware devices business, where revenue more than tripled to ₹23.1 crore, up from ₹7.6 crore in Q1 FY26. The growth indicates increasing adoption of the company’s GPS devices, IoT products, and connected mobility solutions.

On the cost side, employee benefit expenses remained the company’s largest expenditure, accounting for more than 27% of total expenses, reflecting continued investment in engineering, technology, and product development.

Why This Matters

MapMyIndia operates in one of India’s fastest-growing deep-tech sectors, providing critical mapping and geospatial infrastructure used by businesses, governments, and automobile manufacturers.

The sharp increase in hardware sales demonstrates growing demand for connected mobility and IoT solutions, while the stable performance of its mapping services business highlights recurring enterprise demand.

As India accelerates digital infrastructure projects, smart mobility initiatives, and location-based services, companies like MapMyIndia are expected to play an increasingly important role in enabling navigation, logistics, fleet management, and public sector applications.
