EndureAir Raises ₹25 Crore to Supercharge India’s Deep-Tech Drone Prowess

EndureAir Systems, a Noida-based aerial robotics and deep-tech drone startup, has secured ₹25 crore in a funding round led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from IAN Angel Fund. This infusion will power its expansion into defence, enterprise, and next-gen logistics operations.

Funding That Propels Innovation

The newly secured ₹25 crore (~US$2.85 million) funding is earmarked for bolstering EndureAir’s drone technologies for defence, penetrating enterprise markets, and accelerating development of high-altitude logistics and aerial robotics platforms.

A Startup Built on Deep-Tech Foundations

EndureAir was founded in 2018 by Dr. Abhishek (a professor of Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur), along with his former students, CEO Rama Krishna and CTO Chirag Jain. Positioned as a pioneer in indigenous UAV development, the company stands apart by designing both hardware and software entirely in-house, fueled by over 15 years of rotorcraft research and eight well-earned patents.

Drones That Solve Real-World Challenges

EndureAir’s drone lineup includes:

  • Sabal: A heavy-lift logistics UAV (10–70 kg payload range), capable of operating at high altitudes. One variant (20 kg payload) has already been inducted by the Indian Army’s Eastern Command.
  • Vibhram: A long-endurance UAV, instrumental in Telangana’s Medicine from the Sky initiative, delivering vaccines to remote areas.
  • Alakh: A nano-UAV deployed in critical rescue and surveillance missions such as the Chamoli cloudburst, Silkyara Tunnel rescue, and earthquake relief in Turkey.

Collaborations Across Borders and Sectors

EndureAir is also expanding its footprint through strategic collaborations:

  • Co-developing high-altitude logistics drones with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL).
  • Collaborating with Druk Holding & Investments (DHI) in Bhutan for pilot missions delivering supplies to remote monasteries.

Why This Matters

Competing with other Indian drone players like IdeaForge, Garuda Aerospace, and NewSpace Research, EndureAir stands out with its full-stack, in-house technology and deep-tech focus. The latest funding round marks a significant milestone, enabling them to strengthen their technological edge, diversify market applications, and deepen strategic partnerships across defence and enterprise sectors.

Conclusion

EndureAir’s ₹25 crore capital infusion positions it firmly at the forefront of India’s next-generation drone innovation landscape. With robust in-house capabilities, practical high-impact deployments, and growing collaborations, the company is soaring higher, toward transformative applications across defence, logistics, and beyond.
