Shadowfax Raises FY27 Revenue Growth Guidance to 40% After Record First Quarter Performance

Shadowfax has significantly increased its revenue growth forecast for FY27 after delivering its strongest-ever quarterly financial performance. The Bengaluru-based logistics company has revised its full-year revenue guidance to 38-40%, up from the 28-30% growth projection it shared just one quarter earlier.

The improved outlook follows a robust first quarter of FY27, during which the company recorded sharp growth in revenue and profitability. Shadowfax said the revised guidance reflects strong demand across ecommerce, hyperlocal deliveries, quick commerce, and its fast-growing heavy shipments business.

The announcement highlights the company’s growing role in India’s rapidly expanding logistics sector, where increasing online shopping and faster delivery expectations continue to create new opportunities.

What Happened?

During its Q1 FY27 earnings call, Shadowfax Chief Financial Officer Praveen Kumar announced that the company had upgraded its FY27 revenue growth guidance to 38-40%. Despite expecting faster revenue expansion, the company maintained its profitability outlook, indicating confidence in sustaining disciplined margins while scaling operations.

Shadowfax delivered an impressive financial performance during the June quarter. The company reported an eight-fold increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹65.4 crore, compared to ₹8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Operating revenue also witnessed strong momentum, rising 65% year-on-year to ₹1,358.1 crore, reflecting increasing shipment volumes and higher demand across multiple business segments.

Key Details

One of the biggest contributors to Shadowfax’s strong performance was its Prime Large business, which focuses on transporting heavy shipments weighing more than 15 kilograms.

The segment recorded 170% year-on-year growth and 25% quarter-on-quarter growth, achieving an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of around ₹75 crore.

The company also expanded Prime Large’s delivery network much faster than planned. Shadowfax had originally targeted coverage of 10,000 pin codes during FY27 but achieved that milestone within just the first quarter. Encouraged by this rapid expansion, the company has now increased its FY27 target to 12,000 pin codes.

Shadowfax Co-founder and CEO Abhishek Bansal said the upgraded guidance is supported by strong demand across hyperlocal delivery services and ecommerce logistics. He added that the company’s express delivery business is expected to benefit from customers onboarded over the previous few quarters, while new quick commerce partnerships, including Amazon Now, are expected to contribute additional growth during the rest of the financial year.

Why This Matters

The revised revenue outlook reflects the strong momentum in India’s logistics industry, particularly as ecommerce and quick commerce continue to expand across the country. Businesses are increasingly demanding faster, reliable, and wider delivery networks, creating significant opportunities for logistics providers.

Shadowfax’s ability to improve profitability while maintaining rapid expansion also demonstrates that the company is scaling efficiently rather than pursuing growth at the cost of financial discipline. This balance is becoming increasingly important as investors focus more on sustainable business models.

The rapid expansion of Prime Large also positions Shadowfax to capture growing demand for transporting bulky products such as appliances, furniture, industrial equipment, and large consumer goods.

Company Background

Founded in 2015, Shadowfax is a Bengaluru-headquartered logistics technology company that provides last-mile delivery, ecommerce logistics, hyperlocal deliveries, reverse logistics, and quick commerce fulfilment services across India.

The company serves leading ecommerce platforms, direct-to-consumer brands, retailers, and quick commerce businesses through a technology-driven logistics network spanning thousands of cities and towns. Over the years, Shadowfax has emerged as one of India’s leading logistics startups by combining digital infrastructure with a large network of delivery partners.

Industry Impact

Shadowfax’s stronger growth outlook signals continued expansion in India’s digital commerce ecosystem. Rising online retail sales, rapid grocery deliveries, and increasing demand for same-day deliveries are creating sustained opportunities for logistics companies.

The company’s aggressive expansion may also intensify competition among logistics providers, encouraging further investments in technology, delivery infrastructure, automation, and nationwide network expansion.

As logistics companies scale operations, they are also expected to generate additional employment opportunities for delivery partners, warehouse staff, and supply chain professionals across India.

Future Plans

Shadowfax plans to continue expanding its Prime Large network beyond its revised target of 12,000 pin codes while strengthening its presence in hyperlocal logistics, express deliveries, and quick commerce.

The company also expects recently acquired enterprise customers and partnerships such as Amazon Now to contribute meaningfully to revenue growth throughout FY27. With demand continuing to rise across multiple logistics segments, Shadowfax aims to sustain profitable growth while expanding its nationwide delivery capabilities.

Conclusion

Shadowfax has entered FY27 with exceptional momentum, prompting management to substantially raise its revenue growth guidance after an outstanding first quarter. Strong financial performance, rapid expansion of its Prime Large business, and increasing demand from ecommerce and quick commerce customers have strengthened the company’s outlook. If current trends continue, Shadowfax appears well positioned to deliver another year of strong growth while maintaining profitability and expanding its leadership in India’s logistics sector.
