Google has introduced a first-of-its-kind Pixel Upgrade Program in India, making it easier for consumers to own and regularly upgrade to the latest Pixel smartphones. Launched on 19 December 2025, the program allows customers to get a new Pixel device every year through a 24-month no-cost EMI plan starting at just ₹3,333 per month, lowering the entry barrier to premium smartphones and simplifying the upgrade experience.
What the Pixel Upgrade Program Is About
The Google Pixel Upgrade Program is designed to offer flexible financing combined with an assured upgrade path. Customers can purchase select Pixel smartphones on EMI and, after completing a minimum of nine monthly payments, exchange their existing device for a newer eligible Pixel model while continuing with the same EMI structure.
A key highlight of the program is the assured buyback, regardless of the phone’s physical condition, as long as it powers on and meets basic functional checks. This removes uncertainty around resale value and depreciation, two major concerns for smartphone buyers.
How the Upgrade Process Works
The program follows a simple four-step process:
- Choose from eligible models — Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, or Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
- Purchase the device at a participating retail partner store using a 24-month no-cost EMI plan.
- Register for the Pixel Upgrade Program on the Cashify website within 30 days of purchase.
- After paying 9 to 15 EMIs, upgrade to a newer eligible Pixel device.
At the time of upgrade, Cashify credits the customer’s bank account with the remaining loan amount, enabling closure of the existing EMI without any pre-closure charges. The customer then begins a fresh 24-month no-cost EMI cycle for the new Pixel phone.
Partners and Program Availability
The initiative has been launched in partnership with Cashify, Bajaj Finance Ltd., and HDFC Bank. The program will be available across select retail stores in India and will remain open for enrolment until 30 June 2026.
Customers enrolling in the program are also eligible for an exchange bonus of up to ₹7,000, offered by Cashify when trading in an existing device.
