A Powerful Partnership for a Greener Tomorrow:
In a major move to strengthen India’s clean energy push, CleanMax Enviro Energy Solutions has joined forces with Toyota Tsusho India, the Indian arm of Japan’s Toyota Tsusho Corporation. The two companies have signed an agreement to jointly develop 300 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy capacity across the country.
This strategic alliance aims to support India’s growing energy needs while staying aligned with the national goal of reducing carbon emissions and achieving net-zero targets.

CleanMax
CleanMax is one of India’s leading renewable energy companies, known for providing solar, wind, and hybrid energy solutions to commercial and industrial (C&I) clients. The company operates on a build-own-operate (BOO) model, allowing clients to shift to green energy without making heavy upfront investments. So far, CleanMax has already commissioned over 1.6 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity in India, UAE, and Thailand.
Toyota Tsusho India
Toyota Tsusho India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Toyota Group’s trading arm, Toyota Tsusho Corporation. It is known for its strong global presence in sectors like automotive, chemicals, energy, and infrastructure. With this move, Toyota Tsusho is reinforcing its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments in India.
What Does the Partnership Aim to Achieve?
Under this agreement, both companies will co-develop 300 MW of renewable energy capacity, which will mainly be used to supply clean electricity to businesses in the C&I segment. The focus will be on solar and wind power, with projects expected to roll out across multiple Indian states.
These green energy projects will help industrial and commercial units meet their sustainability goals, reduce carbon footprints, and manage energy costs in a reliable and affordable way.
Driving India’s Green Energy Transition:
This collaboration comes at a time when India is aggressively pushing for renewable energy adoption, aiming for 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based capacity by 2030 and achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2070.
